We work for small to medium sized contractors pricing commercial work, in particular office fit outs, general leisure and education building extensions, steel industrial buildings, new housing developments and groundworks projects. We will assess and complete all the necessary tender documentation such as Schedules of Work or Bills of Quantities and discuss with you our pricing levels and any risk or opportunities within the tender. The pricing will be backed up with full labour / plant / material / subcontractor splits, preliminaries build up and a copy of all subcontract enquiries we have sent out and received. We will work with your existing supply chain if preferred and send out and assess subcontract enquiries.
We work for a number of small builders throughout the country. They appreciate the ease in which they can always ring us on the phone and speak about their project, plus the ongoing surveying support they receive in looking for and pricing savings or assisting with pricing variations on site. We will fully price all the Architects tender documents required, liaise with them on your behalf and discuss with you specific qualifications/exclusions you should highlight in your quote or estimate. Whether you have received a Bill of Quantities to price, a Schedule of Work or commonly, just some drawings, we will send you all the backup information plus provide a professional submission to be sent to your client. If the design information is incomplete, we can still provide a realistic estimate for your client, so you can work with them to finalise the price.
We act as PQS on a variety of projects from inception to completion, including budget estimates, contract procurement and tendering, financial management and final account agreement. If you require an independent surveyor to value the works for a funding body such as Historic England, we can also provide this service, as well as assistance in completion framework documentation.
We provide accurate building and civils/groundworks bills of quantities, in either SMM7, NRM or builders quants. All bills will be annotated with measure notes, enabling the estimator to understand the bill as they are working through it. We will split the bills as required, such as trade packages, or phased works. If you require the bill pricing, we can undertake if required.
If you require advice or assistance with any contract dispute on site, or you want advice to prevent a dispute occurring, such as appropriate procurement and contract drafting, then please speak to us for further advice. We can also assist in valuing your work completed to date and provide an independent report.
